Ni Una Mas (Not one More) is the call of those who seek to put an end to the seemingly endless series of murders of young women in the Juarez area which began in 1993. Mothers and family of the victims, nobody really knows how many but perhaps over a thousand, have tried to find closure to the kidnapping, disappearances, torture, and murder of innocents who were just simply victims of evil. Many of these activists who seek to expose these murders and promote international awareness are themselves targeted and "disappeared." These activists have lobbied local government, police authorities, and congressional leaders in Mexico City, only to find lack of concern, stonewalling, incompetence and lip service to their questions. Some have tried to encourage police to follow specific leads only to find police unwilling to investigate or unsympathetic and cynical. The impunity, "impunidad" goes on and week after week there is another disappearance and a families tears of desperation. Another young girl is vanished and the authorities have no leads, no arrests and no interest.
